This past month, TheInternView featured interns from across the nation with a diverse variety of experiences.
Our first Intern of the Week hails from San Francisco, CA and is knee-deep in a high tech public relations internship. After an extensive job hunt, she finally landed a prestigious internship at Blanc & Otus. Three months into her internship, Katie shares with TheInternView what it’s like to make the transition from college life to 9-5 work days and how being authentic can be invaluable to your internship experience. Read her story, here.
I first noticed Zach on Twitter from his engaging tweets about social media, internship experience, music and everything in between. His professionalism and social media knowledge made me think he was much older, but he is actually in college! Zach is studying marketing communications at Emerson College and has completed marketing, social media and PR internships in Boston and L.A. His online presence and impressive internship background helped me select him as the Intern Life of the Week. Read Zach’s story, here.
Elizabeth Holtan holds not just one internship, but TWO! She is also earning her M.S. in public relations at Syracuse University in New York. If Elizabeth isn’t studying, tweeting about social media or working with the national nonprofit initiative Health Monday, she is interning for the Digital MarCom department at Welch Allyn and working with the Museum of Science and Technology as a public relations intern. Elizabeth has a wide breadth of intern experience and advice to share; read on to learn about how she manages her busy life and four Elizabeth-prescribed tactics every intern should utilize to make the most of any internship. Read her story, here.
Morgan Dominique is a senior studying organizational communications at Ohio University with only three short weeks left before she graduates! On campus, she is the VP of Philanthropy for Student Alumni Board. Morgan has completed many valuable internships during college and I thought she would be a great person to feature for Intern Life of the Week. She has experience ranging from non-profits to NHL teams and everything in between! Last summer, she interned with Pelotonia; a non-profit organization that funds life-saving cancer research through a three-day bike ride experience. Her most recent internship was with the Columbus Blue Jackets Foundation. After graduation she would like to find a job or post-grad internship in communications, event planning, or development for a non-profit organization, university, or hospital. Read Morgan’s story, here.
Which of these interns do you think deserves to have Intern Life of the Month? Which had the coolest internship? The most valuable advice? The most unique experience?
Place your vote and we will feature the Intern Life of the Month next Friday in a new post expanding upon their internship experience!
